Try to spread your production efforts into other areas of your life. just give it different flavors. From school age on, we are taught to “do what we are told.” We are rarely taught how to listen to ourselves and advocate or stand up for own interests and needs.

Students who routinely procrastinate tend to get lower grades, workers who procrastinate produce lower-quality work, and in general, habitual procrastinators can experience reduced well-being in the form of insomnia or immune system and gastrointestinal disturbance. I’m not sure how much it matters how patient we can be with ourselves if other people with whom we must interact continue to refuse to be patient with us as well. Whenever you feel stressed and you decide to escape it by procrastination, you reinforce the habit. Some procrastinators contend that they perform better under pressure, but while they may be able to convince themselves of that, research shows it is generally not the case; instead, they may make a habit of last-minute work to experience the rush of euphoria at seemingly having overcome the odds.
