We held a graduation ceremony here for my son, very good food, great service, and a classic Virginia Environment! !Nice restaurant and atmosphere for a special occasion in the middle of historic downtown Culpeper. We visited today for our anniversary lunch. Service was excellent, wine/beverage menu short and sweet, no beer on tap, but that's ok, selection of bottled beer adequate. Menu was a good shot group of items they do well and of course a few specials. Very good berf! Enjoyed our first visit last night.

If you are looking for that exceptional steak house that has impeccable service,decor,cleanliness and great food do not eat here. We didn't have to wait long for anything and everything was hot and delicious. I really enjoy local places and I love when buildings are re-purposed as this one is.
A Virginia Steakhouse. Located in Downtown Culpeper, VA in an 1890's historic brick building, our restaurant features main and balcony level dining as well as cozy bar and lounge area. Dessert selections adequately decadent. The service is superb, food is outstanding and atmosphere is delightful. My husband had the "Pasta from Hell." There was no rush for us to leave when we finished eating, we were able to just sit and enjoy our drinks after paying and never felt like they were waiting for us to go.

I went with the Crab/Lobster Cake and it was golden brown on the outside and full of crab and lobster, it was not heavy on all those filler type ingredients that other places use sometimes. The inside is very cozy and welcoming. We come here once a month and nothing has ever even slightly disappointed. Very clean and not too big, so an intimate setting.Friendly host and staff, who make excellent suggestions. 8/29/2015 Previous review. Amy is one of the best servers that you will ever have the pleasure to meet and the owner Steve is awesome. We'll be back as this is a nice notch in the Culpeper six gun of enticing eateries. Zoom in to see updated info. Own or manage this property? Piedmont is closed on Sunday, so I picked Saturday. The food is so fresh and flavorful without being drowned in sauces or dressings. The food was very good, and plentiful. Review tags are currently only available for English language reviews. I did research both the lunch and the dinner menus. The food here is wonderful, I have eaten here numerous times and it has always been exceptional. When any of our northern virginia friends and fam decide to come to culpeper we generally end up here. Very good lunches as well. Seasonal veggies were delish! Enjoyed the chips and onion rings, enjoyed my salad, and really enjoyed their scallop dish and their stuffed salmon dish.
This is a cute little steakhouse in a cool little environment. Would recommend this for a special occasion.
