The LucidSound LS35X is a stunning example of what is achievable at the upper echelons of accessory design. I was quickly disappointed as soon as the in game audio started, as the sound was continually cutting out for around 2 seconds every 5 to 10 seconds. The only con, if I had to name one, would be the chat/game volume mixer - the outer ring of the right earpiece is a dial that you turn to adjust the mix (the one on the left earpiece handles master volume) - and although the dial has 180 degrees of rotation, like 10 degrees in the middle is where most of the mix change takes place. With the LS35X though, they’ve moved up another notch, with one button wireless syncing working directly with Xbox One, high fidelity speakers pushing out some great sound, a dual mic system allowing for chat options wherever you are, and memory foam based, gel-cooled earcups keeping you comfortable even in the hardest of times. Bought this primarily for use with Xbox One, but also used it with my laptop (had to get a Windows 10 Xbox One USB adapter). I use the boom mic when playing with other gamers, and remove it when I play games that don’t require a mic late at night so I can hear the game perfectly while sound is muted from the TV. I waited nearly 18 months from when this headset was announced until I was able to purchase it, eagerly looking forward to a completely wireless headset (no base station, no dongles) to use with my Xbox One X. If that seems like it suits your needs then I recommend picking up a set. Sound great and feel just and good. One thing i wish they would have done with these is give each level of sound a tick when turning knob, also label each tick with a dash on the headset so you can adjust the sound/chat to how you like it quicker. Mostly I write this because after 9 weeks it should not be cracking and breaking apart at both swivel points when I am super cautious and protective of them. I’ve had absolutely zero issues in working this connection either, and once an initial setup is run through switching on the console and then the headset sees pairing actioned within a matter of seconds.

However the fact of the matter is that the secondary built-in microphone isn’t of the same clarity as that of the boom, and this causes frustration should you try and use it whilst gaming. You can also mute your headset or game volume from the headset itself. This headset just feels very premium. so it’s an all around win. Fantastic headset, automatically connects and assigns to xbox gamertag as well as automatically shuts off when you shut the xbox down. Further enhancements over cheaper headsets see the LS35X provide memory foam based, gel-infused earcups, keeping your ears cooled at all times, whilst a decent amount of padding to these cups is always a joy to have, especially when the externals see a combination of quality leatherette and a softer inner cloth material working well. Now i can turn the volume knob all the way down but then u gotta go through magically putting it back to the exact level you had it at smh.

The headband is extremely comfortable, as are the circumaural cups. Also, if u press your left button, it mutes everything, this is a feature i hate.
